In September of 2004, we planned another trip with our favorite traveling companions, Jeanne & Kenny.  This time, we decided to meet in Cody, Wyoming and spend our time together touring the Yellowstone area.  Kenny, as usual, did an exception job of planning our itinerary with reservations for motels and many special sights for us to see. We went into Yellowstone Park at the Northeast Entrance and spent four wonderful days seeing magnificent mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, Old Faithful and many mysterious geysers.  We saw bison, antelope, elk, deer, a black bear and several bald eagles.  We were so lucky to have some days of sunshine but we did have one brief period of rain and sleet and just as we were unpacking our things at the Canyon Lodge, we experienced a beautiful light snow that covered everything with a blanket of white making all the pine trees look like decorated Christmas trees.  Probably, the highlight of our trip was a Float Trip down the Snake River. The water was very smooth and the day was sunny and cool and the trip lasted about 2 hours.  We had an up close and personal view of the Grand Teton Mountains and had a very skillful and knowledgeable guide that made the trip so memorable.  We feel very blessed to have ended our trip by celebrating Jeanne & Kenny's 50th wedding anniversary with their family in Colorado.
