In February of 2000, to celebrate our retirement, we went with our friends, Gary, Virginia, Glen and carol on a Caribbean Cruise. The islands we visited were San Juan, Aruba, Curacao, Tortola and St. Thomas. The name of our ship was the Norweign Dream. We took two off shore tours. In Aruba, we took a four person jeep tour, along with 14 other jeeps and headed out caravan style across the back roads of Aruba. We saw the California Lighthouse, an isolated Alta Vista Chapel, a Natural Bridge and many rocks and cactus everywhere. We also tried snorkeling in pristine waters filled with brilliant corals and colorful marine life. In St. Thomas, we went on a Mountain Bike tour along secluded roads and trails. We enjoyed walking in the white sands of the legendary Magen's Bay beach and even saw an iguana basking in the sun. We took advantage of all the activities aboard ship and the food and service was wonderful. Each night we had fantastic entertainment in a full sized theater, which included three Broadway productions. Our travel accommodations couldn't have been nicer and we hope to have another cruise in our future.
